Haven't posted in awhile. Currently Michelle and I are trying to reorganize the SAIC chapter of Curatorial Community. Hopefully we will get the right start in January. Aside from organizing more shows, I plan to showcase apartment spaces, alternative spaces and galleries with new work. If anyone is interested in writing reviews or just small blurbs on any of these, please email me.
Also, December 18th is the opening of a group show I am participating in at Barbara & Barbara Gallery (http://barbaraandbarbaraloveyou.com/home.html) More details to come!

CALLS FOR ENTRY
DEADLINE: JULY 15th, 2009
EXHIBITION DATES: Mid-August
Andre Lenox, Evan Lenox and Lynnette Miranda are a group of students who are trying to organize an exhibition space. Since we do not have our ideal space, we are taking advantage of our apartment by curating a show to commence our curatorial efforts.
Artists needed for a curated show about inhabiting and/or invading the domestic space. Works should form a relationship with the apartment setting. This is a site-specific show where artists from all mediums are welcome to take over any space in the home. Looking for already existing work and proposal for new pieces. Some examples include the freezer, cabinets, ceilings, rooms, closets, televisions, walls, and so forth.
Please visit refer to blog posts to access floor plans, images and a list of available spaces.
Please send a link of 10-20 images or 10 min of video/sound work, an artist statement and a short biography to curatorialcommunity@gmail.com
